The Great Porn Addiction: How An Over Sexualized Culture Is Warping Our Minds

To my view, many articles written on this subject use too much humor to express the argument.  Learn more about Triff Young Devotion.Too frequently watching pornographic content distorts the mind and real world women’s perceptions, with so many explicit and novel scenarios (most of which will never happen on reality) only a click away; the bar inside and outside the bedroom has been pushed higher than ever. Do you ever judge a woman too harshly by her outward appearance? “Oh, her breasts are too low.” or “I like my wives with a large, round ass,” they’re popular enough in men who don’t see pornography frequently, they all have those things they like; that’s very natural. The problem comes when you watch pornography for an extended amount of time multiple times a day (while masturbating or not) and instead of going over to talk to that cute girl (by realistic standards, not the porn star XXL all body), you become passive and make excuses as to why she doesn’t suit your (now) non- tastes.

They stop being persons with personalities, dreams, ambitions, backgrounds, struggles, hopes and dreams. They become just pieces of meat. While this is something very harsh to say, that is the truth of the matter. Your mind gets used to whatever you constantly expose it to; therefore, if you regularly expose it to lewd material that rewards you (by orgasm) for watching women being treated this way, it eventually learns that this is the way things are meant to be. A relationship in itself is intended to be built on love, confidence and mutual respect. Pornography is anything but that: endless numbers of women are photographed and recorded doing the most imaginable sexually deviant things as well as appearing to be grateful to them for doing these things. There are a growing number of men expecting to do these things to the women with whom they are engaged in the early stages of the relationship, perhaps after the first few dates. This is meant to scare you purely because it’s just not right! Knowing the interests and dislikes of the other person is part of a healthy sexual relationship, but the disconnection happens when people try to impose their own (maybe non-mainstream sexual preferences) on their partners, regardless of how the other person feels.

When you’re visiting these places at work or at school, you may start realizing that you can make small and sometimes regular mistakes as it takes away your attention. Underestimating the power of sex and all its branches (image, video, voice) is a disaster remedy for the man with a weak constitution. If one day you’re lucky enough to have kids, imagine how you’d feel if your daughter were treated like the women in those videos. Was it worth lusting after your mind when you know what effect it has on you?

In the end, it is up to you to choose. For everything, the golden rule is that anything should be done in moderation, but if you feel like you are crossing a line and searching for more ‘extreme’ content, question yourself. Recognize that your preferences are being skewed but that you also have the ability to substitute yourself with pornography through abstinence.
